A-Rated Energy are suppliers and installers of the Kingspan solar range. The product range consists of the Thermomax Evacuated tube system. Each solar collector consists of a highly insulated manifold and a row of solar tubes. The vacuum inside each tube provides perfect insulation and is therefore protected from outside influences such as cold and windy weather or humidity. The vacuum technology ensures the most effective transfer of energy into heat.

Case Study Example

Simon has a 3 bedroom detached house 132m2 (1420ft2) in size with an annual heating bill of €1,600. Simon had A-Rated Energy call out to survey his house for Solar Panels. There were between 3-5 people living in the house & Simon had a suitable roof area facing due south. The system specified for Simon was a 30 Evacuated Tube Direct Flow System with a 300 ltr Cylinder.

The typical cost of this system was €5,800 fully installed. Simon availed of a grant worth almost €1000 from the Greener Homes scheme to help the overall cost of this system. Simon will save over €400 on his heating bill, with the payback period of 10-12 years. He also obtained a10 year warranty offered by A-Rated Energy.
